Tryptyk Himalajski/The Himalayan Trilogy
(Broad Peak, Annapurna, Cho Oyu; Pakistan, Nepal, Tybet)

Kiedy schodziliśmy pokonani południowej ściany z Annapurny, już zaczynaliśmy snuć plany na kolejny rok. Najpierw aklimatyzacja - jedziemy do Tybetu na Cho Oyu (8201). Chcemy zdążyć przed sezonem, zanim jeszcze pojawią się komercyjne wyprawy. Potem rewanż na Annapurnie (8091) za Bonningtona na południowej ścianie. Szybki transport do Nepalu i naszym celem stała się ponad 7 kilometrowa, przepiękna grań wschodnia. 

Nie omyliliśmy się co do wrażen: dwa tygodnie walki, tydzień bez jedzenia, ślepy towarzysz, nadzieja, zawód i sukces. Po zejściu nie byliśmy już tacy sami... Na koniec jedziemy do Pakistanu na Broad Peak (8047), czyli na jeden z najpiękniejszych lodowców świata - Baltoro. Spędzamy miesiąc w okolicy K2, Gasherbrumów, lodowców Savoia i Godwin Austen. Znowu akcja ratunkowa, zawód, nadzieje i szczyt... 

Góry wysokie to nie tylko wspinanie. To także ludzie, którzy tam mieszkają, ludzie, którzy przyjeżdżają lub tylko przejeżdżają. To włóczęga po innej kulturze, poznawanie nowych zwyczajów i słuchanie często niezrozumiałej dla nas, choć ciekawej muzyki. Zapraszam zatem na podróż po trzech krainach u stóp gór najwyższych, gdzie żyją zupełnie różni ludzi i gdzie świat stanął w miejscu...

It was on our way down from Annapurna's South Face that we started to make plans for the next year. First acclimatization - we are heading for Cho Oyu (8201). We want to be there before the start of the season and all other expeditions, both commercial and non-commercial. After that we want revenge on Annapurna (8091) for our failure on the Bonnington route on the South Face.
A year flew by and our acclimatisation on Cho Oyu went according to plan. We moved fast to Nepal and the 7 km long, breathtaking East Ridge of Annapurna became our aim.

We were right about the awaiting impressions: two long weeks of constant struggle, one week with no food, a blinded climber, hope, disappointment and success. We were not the same people when we descended... At the end, we went to Broad Peak (8047), in Pakistan, to Baltoro - one of the most beautiful glaciers in the world. We spent one month close to K2, Gasherbrums, Savoia, Godwin-Austen. Once again we took part in a rescue action, more disappointment, hopes and finally the summit...

High mountains are not only about climbing. It’s also about people who live there, people who arrive or only pass by. It is about total submersion in other cultures, getting to know local customs and listening to the, often unfamiliar but fascinating, music. I invite you to the journey around three lands which lie under the feet of the highest mountains, where totally different people live and where the world refuses to move on...
